Quilt Logger Development Update: November 2025 – Testing, Patterns, and Beta Call
Hello quilting community! As we roll into November, Quilt Logger has officially shifted from feature building to focused testing. The major pieces of the app are in place, and we're now working hard to make everything feel smooth, reliable, and ready for your real-world studios.
From Building to Testing
Over the last few weeks, we've wrapped up implementation on the remaining core features and moved into end-to-end testing. That means we're now:
- Running full workflows from new customer intake to final invoice
- Double-checking calculations, status changes, and edge cases
- Polishing small UI details so nothing feels clunky or confusing
The foundation for Quilt Logger as a full longarm quilting business management solution is there—we're now making sure it all feels rock solid.
Messaging: Email Ready, SMS Close Behind
One of our biggest priorities has been making communication with your customers easier and more professional.
- Email notifications are fully functional and live in the app. You can send clean, automatic updates without copying and pasting from templates or spreadsheets.
- SMS text messaging is very close, but experiencing a short delay. We're working through the final pieces needed to get reliable text delivery in place. It's taking a bit longer than we'd hoped, but it's moving forward.
Our goal is that, once both systems are live, you can choose the communication style that fits your customers best—email, SMS, or a mix of both.
A Powerful New Pattern Library
This month also brings a feature we’re especially excited about: a comprehensive pattern library designed specifically for longarm quilters.
With the new pattern library, you can:
- Store and organize all your quilting patterns in one place
- Filter by pattern type, name, or description
- Create custom filter categories (for styles, difficulty levels, designers, or anything that matches your workflow)
Whether you’re managing hundreds of edge-to-edge designs or a curated set of favorites, the pattern library is built to make it fast and easy to find exactly what you need while you’re quoting or scheduling jobs.
Looking for Beta Testers
Now that Quilt Logger is feature-complete and in testing, we’re ready to bring in more voices from the quilting community.
We’re looking for beta testers who:
- Run or work in a longarm quilting business
- Are willing to test real workflows in the app
- Don’t mind a few rough edges in exchange for having a say in the final polish
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. You can:
- Email us directly at
support@quiltlogger.com, or - Sign up for the mailing list on the homepage to get updates and beta invitations as we roll them out.
What’s Next
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be:
- Finishing SMS integration and testing notifications end-to-end
- Continuing bug fixes and visual polish
- Onboarding our first wave of beta testers
Thank you again for following along as Quilt Logger comes to life. We’re closer than ever to delivering the focused, quilting-specific business tool we’ve been envisioning—and we can’t wait to put it in your hands.
